Think you have a sunspot, but wondering if it might be skin cancer? Let’s face it, our bodies have lots of spots, bumps and lumps. Most of which are harmless. However, not all seemingly harmless spots should be ignored.
One major difference between sunspots and skin cancer is that sunspots mostly appear on areas of the skin that have been exposed to the sun—like the hands, face, and arms. Skin cancer on the other hand can develop anywhere on the body—even areas that have had very little sun exposure.
