Together in the fight against skin cancer

“Together, Molemap and Eau Thermale Avène exemplify the power of collaboration in providing accessible, high-quality skin health solutions. This union reflects our shared commitment to education and innovation, particularly in the prevention and detection of skin cancer. By fostering an exchange of knowledge and expertise, we aim to raise awareness about the prevalence of skin cancer in New Zealand, highlighting the dangers of sun exposure and the importance of skin checks, wearing SPF50+ sunscreen and other sun safety measures. Together, we are dedicated to driving meaningful change in the prevention and detection of skin cancer and melanoma, promoting a healthier relationship with the sun” says Janis McNicholas Head of Medical Sales & Training at Pierre Fabre Laboratories Australia.

As a first step of our commitment Molemap and Avène took over the iconic Bondi beach, offering an immersive experience aimed to educating consumers  and offered complimentary skin checks with Molemap Melanographers, whilst distributing sunscreen samples.

Discover Avène’s Sunsitive® range

As part of Avène’s ongoing commitment, Avène recently launched the Sunsitive® Sunscreen range. 1 out of 2 Kiwis don’t apply sunscreen daily due to texture issues. For this reason this range was specifically designed for the harsh New Zealand and Australian sun and sensitive skin. It provides an ultra-lightweight texture and fragrance-free formulas, offering broad-spectrum SPF50+ UVB and UVA protection. Formulated and made in Australia, with the highest SPF for sensitive skin*, this range is fragrance-free, non-greasy, and leaves no white cast, addressing all the reasons people avoid wearing sunscreen. The super-light, invisible quick-absorb texture is perfect for layering under make-up, making it an effortless addition to your daily skincare routine.

The most common reason for not wearing sunscreen is a dislike of the texture. This is why Avène set out to develop a sunscreen that *actually* feels good.
